It's been quite hot over the last few days...

On a quick trip back to Glossop, my dog Bess thought it was a bit too hot and flopped out on the lawn.

When your fir is black, it gets hot in the sun.

Then and Now

A few months ago there was glorious sunshine which let me sit outside in the garden doing work. These days, in August, which is meant to be the hottest month, we have had some immense downpours and very little "good weather" to write home about. :(
