Notes from the August meeting: http://dfey.freedomdreams.co.uk/wiki/August_Meeting/Notes
The FSF have released a video of Stephen Fry explaining free software for GNU's 25th Birthday Party.
I am trying to get Freedom Socks on the case, to get a podcaster's view on it.
Update 1: I have secured an interview with Matt Lee, FSF campaigns manager for the Freedom Socks podcast.
Update 2: Please vote the story up on Firehose, Digg, reddit, FSDaily
Update 3: The submission I made to Slashdot is now a story :)
Update 4: Freedom Socks have released a new episode interviewing Matt Lee from the FSF.
Please show this to any other organisations or people who you think might be interested.

Digital Freedom in Education & Youth - North West (DFEY-NW), the North West of England's first group focusing on young people and issues of freedom in the digital world is looking forward to it's first meeting EVER in August.
DFEY-NW is a group formed in response from a growing need in the Northwest of England for a Group to encourage and promote young people's involvement with the free software community by creating a social space to make it more comfortable for young people to get involved with GLUGs and FSUGs.

For a long time getting people to use free software specifically, to move to a all free software desktop has been tricky.
Many people have been extremley unwilling to not have Adobe Flash installed on the machine they are using.
This software is of course proprietary software however many people feel that their daily dose of Youtube could not exist without it.
