again you get to enjoy my amazingly bad typing :D
ok. so today we first had lessons with the pupils - i had franch - which was pretty cool - talking about skiving school and why students do it - it was really good fun - everyone made me feel involved and i really enjoyed it I also had biology which was quite boring because it was less inclusive. th epolish technical team who are documenting this filmed this at times and tok photoos
after this, we went without the students to th euniversity museum. the museum was really not much fun, but the guide tried admirably, despite his english eing sometimes difficult to understand, to make it funny, and to some extent suceeded in making it better.
after this we went off with a treasure hunt. before we set off everone was very competitive and was looking ofrward to it. it turned out that most of the english groups couldn't un derstand the quetisons and this caused us problems, - however i text kuba from my polish sim card and so he and l'equippe technique polonais helped us. which was cool
for lunch we ate a traditionaly themed resturant. - i had "russian pirogi" - something like dmplings filled with potato or something. i'm not sure what i was eating but kuba assured me it was vegetarian and it was nice.
one of the polish guys who was with us had soup in a bowl. but it wasnt ordinary bowl - the bowl was a loaf of bread, bowl shaped, with the top cut off, then the middle hollowed out and the top put back on. a really cool thing.
- this, with severfal plates of chips and pirogi for his exchange partner cost £2.
after lunchafter lunch we visited the polish quarter of krakow
it was very intersting to see various locations used in the filming of schinderlers list and it was also brought back to earth when i was told the number s of the people wo had died. i suspect this will be even mor eobvious when we vist auchvitz on monday i tihnk it is.
in the jewish quartwer (kazimierz) we visited the only practising synagogue and saw many others which had been desecrated and are now sadly no longer in use.
we had a tour guide and we were on foot and i found it very tiring because we were walking slowly, thne stopping and standing then walking slowly again... and so on.
i prefer to walk fast, sit down, and so on.
afterwards we met the g/f of my correspondante in the centre of kracow ( my feet *really* hurt by now) and go back to her flat.
there is a plan about us going to the mountain region now and having a party with 300 norwegins (then the next moring joining the tour of the region we are having!) but the plans fall through
in the end the g/f of my correspondante goes on her own.
for tea this evening we will probably be having some sort of mushroom dish made by the mother of the guy i am stayinhg with.
this evening we are likly to be going to a party with a load of english/polish people and their correspondants and while i find chatting to the english relativly boring it is fun chatting to the polihs people who i dont know well.
tomorrow, as i said we are going to the moutians were we will do some walking. it might be snowy - cool! - but i reckon its likly to just be miserable
i am taking loads of photos and video but dont have time to upload them
saturday night the gf of my correspondat is throwing a party which should be fun
ill blog what i can
