Yeah...these are exactly the kind of ideas floating around the Linux community I hate. As the rest of us know that this Linux elitism and arrogance that you use to expand your ego is actually completely unnecessary. Instead of taking the piss out of those people who might not understand a certain idea why don't you try and explain or show them how it works.

Why?

Because people appreciate being treated with respect when you are sharing your ideas and knowledge with them, the last thing a new user needs is to be belittled by existing users who have forgotten how little they knew when they first started using Linux.

I know several people who were excited about trying Linux for the first time and were shunned by the Linux community with poor quality advice such as "google it" or even, in some cases, verbal abuse.

The Linux community moans and complains when it is ignored by various hardware and software corporations for not supporting Linux, yet you regularly fail to support your own user base with the simplest of problems.
